We endured 4 weeks of cRamper at HITS and 2 more at the Tampa Equestrian Festival and then...Hallelujah!!! VACATION!!!
Where we were happy to find a different plane and crew.
We packed our bags, consulted our pilot and her gps and flew to the Cayman Islands.
Can she see out of those googles?
Just a slight problem with the pilot and gps.
Undaunted, the five of us arrived at Georgetown.  There was Clair, Tammy, Tiffany and Joe Young and I.
The 1st day and our first view of the hotel, Grand Cayman Beach Suites and the beach were phenomenal!
We watched the sun set from our room.  It couldn't have been more idyllic.
Everyone discovered the pools and hot tub and the first night we ate at Hemingway's.  The banana mudslide was delicious!
We were a little nervous when we decided to go on a snorkling trip day 2.  Our last experience in the Keys was almost a disaster because of the rough water.  Somehow Capt Chester and crew found the smooth water and we had a blast!
This was a 3 stop trip and the 3rd stop was Sting Ray City.  As we were standing in waist deep water 4 miles offshore , surrounded by perhaps 20 stingrays and were being told that they were friendly, I couldn't help thinking about the crocodile hunter!  Some of these females were huge!!
Clair actually fed them squid!  I dont know which is worse, touching the squid or the stingray!
We chartered a fishing boat, captained by Capt Chester and his mate.  We caught some fish.....  They were not too big though.  But the experience was wonderful and the water crystal clear.
And  so, we had our last meal and saw our last sunset and said good bye to Grand Cayman Island.
And so some people caught up on their sleep while we winged our way home.  And, our loyal friends were just as we left them guarding our things!
