Recently, Clair has begun her journey to become a USEF/USHJA hunter/hunt seat equitation judge. She applied for and was accepted into the Mentor program, her mentor being William Ellis. At this point she has learner judged and attended a clinic and has received her “r” recorded judging license. She is now apprentice judging and will apply for her “R” registered judging license in April 2017. This will give her additional insight into the world of hunters and hunt seat equitation and aid her in competing and teaching.
Anne Westbay, assistant trainer, has also been working hard attending classes and has received certification from the American Riding Instructors Association. Her plans include more of these clinics in order to obtain higher classifications. These clinics include hands on riding and training exercises as well as written and oral testing.
