Training Staff

Charlotte Ray

We are excited to announce that we have a new addition to our Kingsmeade training staff. Charlotte Ray began her riding career in Newport, Rhode Island as a child. Her family then moved to Florida where she bought her lifetime equestrian partner, Westminster Abbey. These two competed together successfully in the Children’s Hunters, Small Junior Hunters, and later in the Adult Amateur Hunters. Abbey is now living the lush life of retirement at the age of 28.

Charlotte began her professional career 10 years ago working for Over the Hill Farm, Water’s Edge Farm, and later at Oakmore Equestrian, all located in the Greater Orlando Area. Charlotte has been a big part in training many champions throughout the years; including 2014 and 2016 Zone 4 Large Children’s Hunter Pony Champions, as well as countless year end champions of local and regional Florida show circuits. Additionally, Charlotte served as the treasurer for the volunteer Board of the Greater Orlando Area Hunter Jumper Association for eight years.

Charlotte’s love for horses and outgoing personality make her a fantastic addition to our training staff. We cannot wait to see what her future at Kingsmeade holds!

Caroline Carr

Kingsmeade is very excited to announce another addition to our team! Caroline Carr will be joining our team as a second assistant trainer. Caroline started her riding career at a local barn in Tampa where she quickly realized her passion for horses and never looked back. Caroline then rode at Don Stewart Stables for a short time before moving to Kingsmeade and continued to ride here for nine years.

Some major riding accomplishments of Caroline’s include competing at USEF Hunter Seat Medal Finals two years in a row, and competing at the ASPCA Maclay Finals while she was a junior. Once she aged out to become an amateur, Caroline competed very successfully in the Adult Amateur Hunters and Amateur Owner Hunters. She has been CFHJA yearend reserve champion in the Adult Amateur Hunter division several years in a row, and was 2016 CFHJA yearend Amateur Owner Hunter 3’3” champion. Caroline is an accomplished hunter rider but also has many accolades in the jumper ring.  She and her horse Top Chic D were a great team and finished eighth in the $15,000 M & S Child/Adult Jumper classic at HITS Ocala, and received many other top ribbons over the years.

As well as being an accomplished horse person, Caroline has received her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from the University of Tampa. She is now acquiring her Masters of Science in Marketing at the Sykes College of Business at the University of Tampa. Caroline’s accomplishments in the horse world and in academics make her a fantastic addition to our training staff, and we are excited to have her aboard out team!
